Slot waiver adopted by EU Council

On June 8th, 2009 the EU COUNCIL adopted the amendment to the EU95/93 regulation concerning the waiver of the use it or lose it rule for S09.

In order to contribute to a harmonized implementation of the amended EU slot regulation (EEC) 95/93 and bearing in mind the objective of making most efficient use of scarce airport capacity, the EUACA has developed guidance in response to queries on the now highly probable suspension of the "use it or lose it rule" (80/20) for the summer 2009 scheduling period.

EUACA nevertheless insists that ultimately it is the responsibility of each individual coordinator  to implement the upcoming amendment to the EU slot regulation on this matter. (see attached file)
